Samuel Norich is the president of the Forward, after having been publisher and CEO of the Forward and the Forverts for two decades. He served as executive director of the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research from 1980 - 1992, and as vice president of the World Jewish Congress from 1975-1981. He and Deborah Ugoretz, his wife, live in Brooklyn, and are the parents of two adult daughters.
