David Dormont
David Dormont is an accomplished litigation partner at the law firm of Montgomery McCracken Walker & Rhoads LLP located in Philadelphia. Since 2015, David has served a delegate to each World Zionist Congress and as a member of the World Zionist Organization’s General Council. He has chaired resolutions committees for both the WZC and the WZO, dealing with settlement issues and issue of religious liberty. David grew up as a Zionist youth leader in Hashomer Hatzair and graduated in 1980 from the Institute for Youth Leaders from Abroad in Jerusalem. Before becoming a lawyer, he worked as a Jewish professional for American ORT and then the New York Association for New Americans. Later, he served as Treasurer and Vice President of American ORT, Treasurer of Partners for Progressive Israel, and Chair of Friends of Camp Shomria. He was a long-time volunteer for Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Greater Philadelphia and was a member of Adath Israel Synagogue. David serves on the Board of the American Zionist Movement and is active with the Board of Governors of the Jewish Agency for Israel. Both of David’s children have participated in year-long Masa programs.
